What do we mean by “fullest potential in Christ”? The closer a person gets to their fullest potential in Christ, the more their life will be characterized by the same qualities that characterized Jesus’ life. That’s a pretty tall order (not to mention impossible, in our own strength), but we believe this process of becoming like Jesus is best described in 2 Peter 1:5-8, where it says…

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (NIV)

Who wants to be ineffective and unproductive? Not many people I know – especially when it comes to things of eternal importance. That’s why we’ll do our best to help students develop these areas of their lives so that their fullest potential in Christ may be reached.
